I was intrigued by Futuur as I hadn’t heard of it before, so I decided to take a look and create a quick Futuur review for the benefit of anyone else who’s in the dark.
I established that Futuur was able to offer prediction markets courtesy of its CFTC credentials, so that was a good start.
At first glance it looked quite similar to the other prediction sites I’ve used and offered similar types of markets, basically the usual sports, politics, entertainment type contracts, albeit broken down more. I could look at an entire page of event contracts about Donald Trump for example, not that I’d want to!
The sign up process was easier than some other prediction sites I’ve joined, it was just the standard KYC thing, although I did have to wait 2 days before my account was ready to use.
There was no minimum deposit requested, so I just added $30 using my Visa card to get started. I was rather entertained by some of the event contracts covering questions like will the next James Bond be an openly gay actor, predictions have been really up and down there.
But I digress. A feature I really liked was Play Money, where you can try your hand at making predictions without the risk, which is a great opportunity for newbies. I also appreciated the level of information provided for every contract and how easy it was to get involved in this type of trading. I’ll certainly be sticking around to test the waters.
Here’s my Futuur review of the prediction markets site, based on my first couple hours digging into their sports, entertainment, and even politics prediction markets. You can sign up with Google or Wallet, but I opted for email. Your username is public and you can’t change it later, so beware. A quick email verification got me into the website to start.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a Futuur signup bonus. To be fair, not all prediction market sites offer one. Futuur doesn’t have a promotions area either. One thing I did find was a mega impressive help center. There’s no live chat but you can shoot them an email or use the website to get in touch. I didn’t need either of those as the help center hit the spot. It’s seriously massive and really helpful.
I couldn’t find a Futuur app but the website loads fast enough anyway. I liked the subcategories for main areas like entertainment, with green Yes and red No buttons making everything easy to read. I also got hold of some play money for starters – just to try some prediction market picks without using real funds. I haven’t seen that anywhere else and it’s something that persuaded me to sign up and try Futuur to start with.
Futuur’s a good one for prediction market newbies. I’d suggest you head for the help center to learn the basics. Get verification sorted out fast too, it makes everything easier. I would defo use Futuur again – I favor the entertainment prediction markets, but it’s good having sports there too, plus trending events.
