Kalshi Inc., founded in 2018 by Tarek Mansour and Luana Lopes Lara and based in New York City, is a U.S. event-contract exchange regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). In June 2025, Kalshi raised $185 million in a Series C funding round, valuing the company at approximately $2 billion. The platform allows users to trade yes/no event contracts across topics, including politics, economics, sports, and culture, with contracts paying out a fixed amount if the predicted outcome occurs. Recently, Kalshi has encountered regulatory friction, as Massachusetts filed a lawsuit accusing the Company of operating illegal sports wagering in the state by offering event contracts without the required licensing.

I love the app, intuitive, simple – you can bet basically on any sort of outcome. Music, Television, Movies fan? On Kalshi you get anything you ask for. From Kanye West weekly stream number of viewers, to artists with most monthly Spotify listeners in any given month. Most people I guess are going into sports, but that’s just for the lazy ones. Predict on any other events – you’ll see the magic happening.
Only cons – for me so far was the customer support; found it impossible to get a hold on a real human to change my nickname / handle – I kept being rebounced on AI replies in loop (from the website form to emails); having emails being replied AI, it’s not a great move. Get real pls!
