Mega Millions

Mega Millions is an American lottery game that was launched in 1996. It is offered in 45 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The game is managed by a consortium of lottery commissions from its member jurisdictions.

To play, participants select five numbers from a set of 70 and a single Mega Ball number from a set of 25. Drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays. The game is known for its large, rollover jackpots, including the highest lottery prize in U.S. history: the $1.602 billion jackpot won in August 2023.
