Robinhood, a well-known U.S. retail brokerage and trading app, introduced a Prediction Markets Hub in March 2025 via its subsidiary Robinhood Derivatives, LLC. The hub allows eligible customers in the United States to trade event contracts on outcomes such as what the upper bound of the U.S. Fed funds target rate will be in May, and the winners of upcoming men’s and women’s college basketball tournaments. The contracts are offered through KalshiEX LLC, a CFTC-regulated exchange, ensuring the prediction markets are subject to U.S. federal derivatives law. Robinhood has positioned this feature as part of its broader strategy to allow users new ways to engage with global events, from economics to sports, while emphasizing compliance and transparency.
