I’d always been a bit careful with player bets because substitutions could completely change things. Even when I liked a player before kick-off, I’d sometimes skip the bet because I didn’t want an early substitution leaving me frustrated.

William Hill feels a little different from some of the newer betting sites. It is a familiar name and there is something reassuring about that, but the online experience doesn’t always feel as modern as the competition.
The sportsbook itself covers what I would normally want. Football is easy enough to find, and horse racing is one area where William Hill still feels particularly at home. If those are the sports you follow, there is plenty to work with.
My biggest issue is the actual presentation. The website and app feel more traditional than slick. It isn’t unusable at all, but after spending time on some newer sportsbooks, you notice the difference. Sometimes I just want to get into a market, check the odds and place something quickly, and the whole experience could be cleaner.
That said, I wouldn’t dismiss William Hill just because the design isn’t my favourite. The betting side is still perfectly usable, and I can see why long-time customers stick with it.
Would I use it as my only sportsbook? Probably not. I’d still use it, particularly for racing or when I wanted to compare a price, but I’d like to see the mobile experience become a bit more polished.

William Hill used to be one of the best bookmakers in the UK market, but they’ve been left behind over the last 10 years and failed to innovate like many of their competitors. The app is clunky, the website looks dated and the markets they offer and odds they show haven’t got enough variety or juice to entice me to bet with them anymore.

All looks good so you would of thought it would be quick to get money you won. Took too long, took ages with docs/verification. Customer service no help at all. Really a shame as lots of bets and sports to choose. I will be going elsewhere from now on.
